Based on the 1968 broadway musical of the same name, Hair is the rebellious answer to your song and dance dreams .The army has recently drafted Claude Bukowski. He answers the call, leaving his family ranch in Oklahoma to fight in the Vietnam war. In New York City, he meets a group of outsiders led by shaggy haired Berger. They embrace him and introduce him to LSD, marijuana while he opens his mind to a new way of thinking. Unfortunately he is already destined for war when he falls in love with Sheila Franklin, a rebellious rich girl.
